Yew cottage was in a beautiful spot with amazing views, sitting in the terrace spotted lots of different birds. The cottage was beautifully furnished to a very high standard and everything and more you may need was provided. The welcome hamper was the biggest I've ever had and was full of treats to last the week. The gardens in Hob green were beautiful and lovely to walk around. Markington was an excellent base for going to Ripon and Harrogate. Amazing cottage and location

Perfect, just perfect! I could start & finish this review with this first sentence, but it wouldn't really be helpful for potentials guests, I think Hob Green Estate & Yew Cottage are a place to dream of, we were lucky to be staying there for 2 weeks. Starting a new day with the beautiful views the cottage offers, what could have been better? The decorations, the furniture, the love to detail, the thoughtful touches everywhere! Yew Cottage was definitely one of the best cottages we ever stayed.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Fantastically well equipped and maintained and perfect for a family or group. The location is great for a variety of activities- gardens, eating and drinking, history, walking, all easily accessible. The house gardens are beautiful. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope we will be able to return soon.

This was such a comfortable, cosy cottage, with wonderful views, and in a great location for Ripon, Harrogate and nearby attractions. We saw red kites, hares, deer and the first swallows of the season. Highly recommended.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, we had an event at the YEC on the Thursday evening and having your home to go back to in the evenings made the stay (5 hours from home) a joy. A really lovely, extremely well presented property in a wonderful location. The rooms are all large and very well appointed in excellent condition. It is ideal for exploring the Dales, Ripon, York and Harrogate. We will definitely return.

Our stay in Reynard House was fantastic. The property is very private with plenty of space. The property is very well presented with a quality kitchen, and furnishings as well as beautiful gardens. The house was lovely and warm and we enjoyed the space and decor. If we find ourselves in Markington/Harrogate again, we would love to stay again.

A very clean, very well equipped and spacious house. Large bedrooms with each having their own large bathroom. The gardens were immense and beautifully kept. Areas for children to play and many quiet places to sit just to enjoy the plants and trees. It was a perfect place for our extended family.

Yew cottage is situated in Hob Green Estate. We found our stay enjoyable relaxing and had the added bonus of been able to walk around the formal gardens . The cottage is luxurious, comfortable and cosy and has everything you need for your stay. The views are spectacular, we enjoyed watching the abundance of birds which visit the garden ,whilst also been lulled to sleep by the owls. An ideal base for, Fountains Abbey 3miles away, Harrogate 7 miles and close to Pately Bridge, Ripon , Harewood House.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay in this beautiful cottage on the stunning Hob Green Estate. Beautifully designed and furnished, exceptionally comfortable, extremely well appointed and with fabulous views from the private terrace, everything was immaculate for our arrival. An added bonus was being welcome to enjoy the stunning landscaped gardens within the grounds - perfect for a few wines in the evenings! This is an exceptional place to stay. The house is a spacious and comfortable place to be (irrespective of weather). It has been designed to a very high spec and it is beautifully appointed. Additionally the gardens are a joy - their size, and diversity, rich planting and wildlife. Reynards House feels a generous place to stay. We will return there as soon as we can.

A lovely, well equipped and peaceful cottage located half way between Harrogate and Ripon and very close to Fountains Abbey. A perfect escape for two. Huge, comfortable bed. We would hope to return.

This is a comfortable, spacious and well equipped house with extensive, well maintained gardens, and plenty of parking. It was perfect for our large family gathering. We were pleasantly surprised by how much there was to do in the area in early March. We spent one and a half days at Fountains Abbey / Studley Water Gardens, half a day at days at Brimham Rocks, a day in York, a day in Harrogate, a day at RHS Garden Harlow Carr and a day in front of the log burner whilst it snowed outside!

A beautiful property in a beautiful setting. Immaculately clean, comfortable and well appointed. It has to be the most well equipped kitchen we've ever had in a holiday house. We wanted for nothing during our stay and cannot fault it. It was the perfect place to stay with our extended family and celebrate a big birthday. The gardens were a lovely place to wander around and explore, even in February, and especially with the children. We would definitely recommend staying here!

An incredibly spacious, well appointed, well furnished house with acres of land to explore with the kids. a fabulous property with easy access to local attractions. There were 6 adults and 4 children on our visit and we had so much space in which to live. BBQ and external seating were superb. The whole look and feel of this property is what you expect given the photo's and the description. Highly recommend for those wanting to celebrate a special occasion.

The house and grounds were beautifully maintained. Everything you needed was provided. Heather, one of the owners went above and beyond to make the stay really special. During the heatwave, she provided a fan at my request, a parasol for the outdoor table and generously let me pick fruit and vegetables from the gardens for meal preparation. It was a peaceful sanctuary with both luxury and breathtaking nature taking centre stage. Highly recommended.
