A lovely place with every comfort thought about. Thank you for the great welcome pack - very generous!
A stunning & most relaxing place to stay. The property is beautiful & so peaceful. The gardens & views let you unwind & relax. The ease to get into Harrogate & the peace of the countryside make it the perfect spot. Also all the people you bump into who work here, so nice, friendly & helpful.
It was really fun the gardens are amazing and so big! This is our 3rd time here because it's such a nice place to be and hope that I could come back every day. The big field is great for a game of tig or any sports game to play with. Thank you so much to putting so much effort in thhe house and gardens to make it a great place to stay and enjoy it very much and have loads of fun!
3rd time here because it is the Best! Always excited to return to the garden. Last year I collected a few seeds from autumn seed pods and now I have 3 plants growing in my garden from Reynard House - a lovely reminder. Saw a hedgehog on the 1st night and many more late night hedgehog hunts ensued. Always a relaxing space, Love the big table perfect for crafts. Hopefully we'll be back.
We loved this house and the beautiful garden. It was perfect for a family get together to celebrate our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Everybody was happy with their bedroom and bathroom and it all worked perfectly. We all had a very happy time in the house and enjoyed exploring the local area.
What a beautiful house catering for your every need, the gardens, grounds & each room are simply stunning. A fantastic stay to celebrate a 'special birthday' which was truly memorable. We will be back! - Please don't change a thing!
It's a great house and massive gardens. I have loved playing in the amazing gardens. The long stretch of grass is amazing for football and other sports. The gardens are amazing for playing hide and seek and fun for running around as well. Exploring all of the gardens was so much fun. The top floor is amazing and you've got to see the gardens from the top floor they are absolutely amazing from above. The bedrooms are amazing and it is exactly like a mansion . Go to the orchard and look at the plums. 🙂
It is a great house and amazing gardens. I have loved my stay at Reynard House. This is a place where I would come back for another week or more. The gardens are fabulous especially for hide and seek. So for older people there are a lot of benches (or if you need a break). The top floor is amazing. If you can, you need to see the summer sun set, from the top floor. Plus, if you are sporty there's great grass to play on. And during the summer you need to go to the orchard to get a look at the plums. 🙂
Wow! What an absolutely wonderful week at Reynard House. We have had a very memorable week at this beautiful house and will really miss the peaceful gardens. Stunning! Our boys have said it all in their lenghty reviews! Thank you to the Hutchinson family for your warm hospitality, it has been the most lovely family break
Reynard House has real ‘WOW’ factor. Everything was perfect. The five bedrooms with ensuites are equally stunning, three of which have the most glorious views of the gardens. The generous welcome hamper was greatly appreciated. We love this part of Yorkshire and the house is well located for exploring. There are good access roads to the property and it is easy to find. We will return!
A really lovely house with beautiful garden. The children really enjoyed playing on the big lawns. We had a great time together with family and exploring the local area!
What a wonderul week we've had in this lovely house, beautfiully appointed, spotlessly clean and, aahh! The Garden! The children were in heaven. Thank you!
What can we say apart from pure joy! We have had the most wonderful stay... the gardens made me cry they are so very beautiful. Everything has been perfect and thank you for the generous hamper which was much appreciated by all members of the family - so thoughtful. We will return!!! THANK YOU!!
We rather selfishly didn't want to write a review for Reynard House as we think it is North Yorkshire's best kept secret and we want to keep it all to ourselves! We had the most joyful stay as a large extended family...the house is just stunning and beautifully appointed and the gardens so breath taking that we have run out of superlatives.... The hosts are generous and thoughtful. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much...we all can't wait for a return visit.
Stunning & immaculate house - beautiful gardens, superb, gernerous hospitality hamper on arrival. We would love to come back again!
Wonderful home with everything we could want, and idyllic gardens as well! 4 generations of the family with ages of 91 to 10 months came to celebrate a significant birthday. We all had a tremendous time, and everyone at the estate was so welcoming and helpful. Another visit soon to be planned! Thanks for everything, Chris and Heather.
We have rented many houses & this is the best by a long way. We will return next year & look forward to seeing the progress in the garden. Thanks to all the team for an exceptional welcome.
We have absolutely loved our stay here. Our family get-together became a very special weekend, enjoying the wonderful, spacious rooms - all terrific - and the gorgeous gardens. It was so quiet and peaceful too. On our final evening we sat out in the gardnes in the sunshine, reflecting on a special weekend indeed. Thank you so much for creating a spacious, delightful home-away-from-home!
We have had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home. The personalised welcome note and the thoughtful complimentary hamper made us feel instantly at home. The house was immaculately presented and decorated, well-equipped and full of helpful touches throughout. The stunning gardens were a real highlight, providing a peaceful retreat. Every detail had clearly been considered, making this a truly special and memorable place to stay.
Wonderful house & breathtaking gardens - we really enjoyed wandering around the gardens. The location is perfect. Nice and out of the way but close enough to towns and interesting places. We will definitely be back Thank you for having us!
This house is absolutely lovely. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and in a great location. The gardens are really, really wonderful and we enjoyed many hours exploring them. Such a peaceful place. Great hosts - we will definitely be returning.
We had a wonderful play in the garden. We loved the massive garden! The house is exquisite. Thank you for having us back a second time - the house and gardens are still stunning and the welcome basket was amazing - thank you! Hopefully be back next year 🙂
Reynard house is by far the best holiday rental we have ever stayed in, a quintessentially English country house. The property is outstanding and the gardens are incredibly beautiful. A walk in the garden is a whole experience on its own-a garden you can get lost in. Cannot wait to return!
This is our second time at this wonderful house - we couldn't not return after last year! We all really enjoy the space, beautiful rooms and the incredible gardens. The gardens are such a special place to relax, enjoy the dusk and dawn and discover all the plants growing. We enjoyed some apple crumble from the fallers and collecting a few seedheads. The hamper provided on arrival was so well appreciated by all ages and devoured quickly - a lovely touch.
Had a wonderful, peaceful stay. Thank you for letting us share your beautiful home and garden. We hope to return again soon!
Can not fault anything! It has everything you could ever possibly need/want. Our age range goes from 80+ down to 6 months and the house really is ideal for everyone! We came to celebrate as a family a diamond wedding anniversary and have loved every minute together as we don't often have the space for us all at once. Thank you very much. Your house and garden are truly beautiful x
This is a wonderful place to stay. Fantastically well equipped and maintained and perfect for a family or group. The location is great for a variety of activities- gardens, eating and drinking, history, walking, all easily accessible. The house gardens are beautiful. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope we will be able to return soon.
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, we had an event at the YEC on the Thursday evening and having your home to go back to in the evenings made the stay (5 hours from home) a joy. The gardens were incredible and the facilities in the house were everything we could have needed. Thank you again, Emma & team
Our stay in Reynard House was fantastic. The property is very private with plenty of space. The property is very well presented with a quality kitchen, and furnishings as well as beautiful gardens. The house was lovely and warm and we enjoyed the space and decor. If we find ourselves in Markington/Harrogate again, we would love to stay again.
A very clean, very well equipped and spacious house. Large bedrooms with each having their own large bathroom. The gardens were immense and beautifully kept. Areas for children to play and many quiet places to sit just to enjoy the plants and trees. It was a perfect place for our extended family.
This is an exceptional place to stay. The house is a spacious and comfortable place to be (irrespective of weather). It has been designed to a very high spec and it is beautifully appointed. Additionally the gardens are a joy - their size, and diversity, rich planting and wildlife. Reynards House feels a generous place to stay. We will return there as soon as we can.
This is a comfortable, spacious and well equipped house with extensive, well maintained gardens, and plenty of parking. It was perfect for our large family gathering. We were pleasantly surprised by how much there was to do in the area in early March. We spent one and a half days at Fountains Abbey / Studley Water Gardens, half a day at days at Brimham Rocks, a day in York, a day in Harrogate, a day at RHS Garden Harlow Carr and a day in front of the log burner whilst it snowed outside!
A beautiful property in a beautiful setting. Immaculately clean, comfortable and well appointed. It has to be the most well equipped kitchen we've ever had in a holiday house. We wanted for nothing during our stay and cannot fault it. It was the perfect place to stay with our extended family and celebrate a big birthday. The gardens were a lovely place to wander around and explore, even in February, and especially with the children. We would definitely recommend staying here!
An incredibly spacious, well appointed, well furnished house with acres of land to explore with the kids. a fabulous property with easy access to local attractions. There were 6 adults and 4 children on our visit and we had so much space in which to live. BBQ and external seating were superb. The whole look and feel of this property is what you expect given the photo's and the description. Highly recommend for those wanting to celebrate a special occasion.
The house and grounds were beautifully maintained. Everything you needed was provided. Heather, one of the owners went above and beyond to make the stay really special. During the heatwave, she provided a fan at my request, a parasol for the outdoor table and generously let me pick fruit and vegetables from the gardens for meal preparation. It was a peaceful sanctuary with both luxury and breathtaking nature taking centre stage. Highly recommended.
